Parent and Student Reviews

  • Before Istarted at Nisai I had quite a few bad experiences with teachers. A lot of it was due to my absences or not turning in homework, and often ended up with being shouted at or told off in front of the class or privately told I should drop down onto a simpler course because I wasn’t capable of doing the subject at a higher level. While my anxiety and nerves due to these experiences still hasn’t gone away completely, the teachers at Nisai, and especially your class, have slowly lessened that fear instilled by my previous teachers. It’s sort of surreal to me that I haven’t been told off or shouted at or told I wasn’t trying hard enough or smart enough even once. But instead you’ve been really encouraging and understanding and it’s really really helped me get over some of those fears—which is why I managed to start going to live lessons—and also built my confidence back up a lot.

  • Since my daughter began studying at Gravitas, she has grown tremendously as a student and person. As a middle school student, she is writing strong persuasive essays, developing excellent research and presentation skills, and preparing to do high school-level Math in the fall. Her classmates are kind, bright, and located around the world, which makes for a uniquely encouraging, intellectually stimulating, and culturally rich academic environment. We are beyond happy with her Gravitas education!

  • I am a student currently doing year 13 and have just finished my year 12 final exams. Elea-high and all its members have been nothing but supportive to my academic journey. They have been very lenient with me and understanding about my out of class activities such as sailing and other sports I take part in. Additionally they have assisted me with my academic success, and have helped me achieve, grades that are now well above what they were before.

  • We are delighted with Elea High Online School because they have offered us personal advice and attention to detail to the needs of our daughter. We joined the school because there is not any Bristish school nearby. She has learned so much Science and Spanish this school year.  The school has provided remarkable support and dedication to her well being. Their school coaching really makes her feel welcomed and part of the community. Online schooling has allowed her to choose and take IGCSEs at her own pace. This gives her more time to do her hobbies with friends and spend quality time with us. We are thankful with Elea High and we are joining again next year!

  • Elea High online school has changed my perspective on studies such as maths which for me is considered to be a tough subject but since I joined the school I have kept improving and understanding the subject better. I started to socialize more and share my working outs with the whole class and together finding the mistakes and correcting them. The teachers are so nice and committed to making me understand the subject that they are teaching. The students are very friendly and always there if you need help or just chat about anything. The school has a variety of students from different nationalities which we get to see on the Friday assemblies and talk to, which I love the most in the school. Not to forget the weekly quiz in the assembly which is so fun to participate in.Thank you Elea High students, teachers, and the Principal; Respected Mr David Lewis.

  • Ever since I joined Gravitas, it has become more like a second home to me. The whole teaching faculty is welcome and friendly and so are the students. I love that the teachers dedicate a lot of time to the students in class and even follow up outside class if needed. The teachers are always reliable when you need help with anything. Overall, I really love the Gravitas community for it has helped me archive and learn a lot of things.

  • I moved my 14-year-old into Minerva’s Virtual Academy. It has been the best decision. It is not only the kids that are challenged to think creatively but the teachers too, with wellness and socialisation playing a big part in the curriculum. My son has learned to manage his own timetable and take responsibility for his own education. With the support of a mentor he balances his studies alongside his passions. No more wasted commuting time, no more classroom distractions; he is focussed and independent, even learning to plan and cook his own lunches. The old-fashioned school system of herding kids with bells, and authoritarians wearing lanyards, into single siloed desked classrooms where they copy lines from a text book has no relevance in today’s world.

  • When I remember my time at the Humboldt Boarding School in Lindenberg, I think of competent teachers and a headmistress who always took care of us. I always knew that I would be supported with any problem.

  • Sophia may be learning in her home, in her time, but is part of King’s InterHigh’s bigger community. She has a small class of roughly eight pupils, which makes it a far more individual way that she can be taught. When she was in mainstream school, she didn’t attain what she needed to do because she is a very shy child.
