I have been a BSB parent for over 5 years. I have always found staff to be friendly, supportive and professional. Over the years, the strong ethos of building a community and continually trying to work together has allowed us to develop strong relationships with the staff and parents.

I’ve had a remarkable learning experience at BSB, which has fulfilled my educational needs by providing an exuberant environment to excel in, and has nurtured me into who I am today. I’m very grateful for all the teachers that have been part of my journey, supporting me and acting as key catalysts for my success and accomplishments.

Nuestro hijo lleva 8 años en BISP y el año que viene se graduará del programa IB. ¡Tenemos muchísima suerte de formar parte de la comunidad escolar y de tener todas las experiencias que se ofrecen en deportes, canto, arte e idiomas! Crecer en un entorno multinacional, tolerante y cálido, aprender a dar, a pensar críticamente, a disfrutar de la amistad, a llevar un estilo de vida activo y a celebrar la diversidad ha sido la mejor elección de colegio y lo volveríamos a hacer. ¡Nos encanta nuestro colegio! Mi hijo espera que siga aquí para sus futuros hijos después de 20 años. 

We have chosen St. Peter’s School because we wanted our daughter to be educated in English since that would be of great help in her future. And we also wanted to provide her with the opportunity to have friends from other nationalities, because that would enable her to get to know other cultures and traditions. What we value the most is the fact that our daughter is happy in school. We noticed this since she started at the age of 3. In her own words, St. Peter’s is “a very special place”.What we like the most about the school is that they have small groups, because that enables teachers to provide students with a very personalized education, helping every child with their needs. We like the curriculum, the activities that respond to social needs and the special events such as the “World Book Day”, the “Chocolatada Solidaria”, the “Book Fair” or the “Maths International Day”. It has been a great decision to bring our daughter to this school, we are very happy!

Choosing our children’s school is not an easy task. When we arrived at St. Peter we had already visited several schools, we were tired and discouraged, as none of the previous ones had met our expectations. At St. Peter, we were received with incomparable attention and, little by little, during the visit, our doubts were clarified and our insecurity was dissolved. Finally, when we entered the art room – a space with so many colors, textures and smells – we were sure that St. Peter would be our choice. We can see our son’s growth daily, his incredible linguistic development, the recognition of numbers, the writing of his own name and so many other achievements that make us sure that we made the right decision when choosing St. Peter as our school.

We chose St. Peters as we were drawn by its vision and mission, to nurture students with a love for life-long learning, and making meaningful contributions to society. Adapting to a new country as a family is challenging but the professionalism of the St. Peter’s family eased it for us where our child’s education is concerned. Our child enjoys going to school and we are very impressed and appreciative of the efforts and dedication of the teachers and staff, in ensuring a loving and safe environment for our child to develop and prosper. The teachers and staff constantly project an enthusiastic outlook for the betterment of the students, see every child with potential of his/her own and always strive for close partnership with parents. We saw how they rose to the occasion as an institution in overcoming the challenges of the lockdown last year and this ongoing pandemic. Our child looks forward and speaks fondly of his school experiences daily and we thank the St Peters family for this.

La cálida comunidad de SCIS me ayudó a desarrollar motivación e independencia personal. Esto facilitó mi transición a la universidad, donde la capacidad de asumir la responsabilidad del propio trabajo es esencial.

SCIS jugó un papel clave al ayudarme a desarrollar las habilidades de escritura, análisis y pensamiento crítico necesarias para tener éxito en la universidad. Pasar varios años en el entorno de una escuela pequeña de SCIS me permitió recibir instrucción personalizada de mis profesores, lo cual resultó crucial para prepararme para la vida después de la preparatoria.

Lo más importante de haber sido fichada como atleta universitaria en la Universidad North Park de Chicago (una universidad de la División III de la NCAA en Estados Unidos) y representar a SCIS, fue poder dar a conocer la universidad. Quería contribuir a una comunidad donde he tenido tan buenas oportunidades desde que crecí aquí, desde quinto grado. Hay muchísimas personas que me han influenciado, desde entrenadores de fútbol, voleibol y baloncesto. Son diferentes componentes de estos deportes los que me han hecho quien soy, y gran parte de ello es SCIS y mi compromiso con el deporte. Sin jugar al baloncesto o al voleibol y sin las experiencias de aprendizaje que he tenido, no sería quien soy hoy.

Al asistir a SCIS desde los 3 años, tuve la suerte de conocer muchas culturas diferentes. A lo largo de los 15 años, a medida que la escuela y la comunidad crecían y evolucionaban, la diversidad internacional del alumnado de SCIS se mantuvo constante. Aprender sobre diferentes culturas y celebrarlas con mis amigos y compañeros era normal. La diversidad de culturas y nacionalidades de los estudiantes de SCIS me ha proporcionado un profundo sentido de conciencia cultural, mucho más allá del del ciudadano medio actual.
