Overview
From preschool through 12th grade, students at the Dallas International School (DIS) are introduced to a global perspective through our unique multilingual and multicultural academic programs. Students grow in an international environment and challenge themselves, explore their creativity and increase their confidence and metacognitive skills as they learn in two or more languages.
The Dallas International School is an incredibly diverse community of students, families and teachers coming from all corners of the world with their unique cultures and backgrounds. Current enrollment includes students from 33 nationalities.
DIS has a distinctive historical identity combining a rigorous education program with an emphasis on French and other languages. As a member of the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS), we are the only institution in North Texas to offer both the curriculum of France’s Ministry of Education and the IB Diploma. A DIS education imparts a sense of the crucial importance of seeking to be academically ambitious, socially responsible, and internationally minded.
Founded in 1987, the Dallas International School joined Mission Laïque Française (MLF) in 1991 and is the only PreK-12, French-English bilingual school in the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex area.
DIS provides rigorous multilingual academics, nine Varsity Sports, eleven clubs and activities, and five Honor Societies.
Upper School high schoolers can choose between the French Baccalaureate programs or the International Baccalaureate curriculum in a multilingual and intercultural environment.
