Extra curricular

At ISG, we believe in a well-rounded, balanced learning experience that contributes not only to students' intellectual development but also to their personal, social, physical, health, moral and emotional development.

Each of our schools offers a variety of after-school activities, that change every term, to cater to different interests and develop different skills throughout the year.

Activity categories include arts and crafts, sports, languages, wellbeing and performance arts. In middle school and high schools, these activities include student council, eco clubs, journalism, service opportunities, National Honor Society and Model United Nations (MUN).

Our students develop their passions, find their voices and develop their leadership, creativity and collaboration skills, among others.

Athletics

Sports and athletics are large part of life at our schools at ISG. In the elementary and primary years, they develop their skills in regular PE classes. Beginning in Grade 6/Year 7, students can join soccer/football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, table tennis, badminton, cross country, track and field and swimming.

Teams are formed for U12, U14, U16 and U19 and student-athletes compete in the following tournaments, that offer opportunities for travel in-Kingdom and in the region:

ISG Jamborees: Inter-ISG games.

Saudi Arabia Inter-Kingdom Activities Conference (SAIKAC): ASD, BSD, ISG Dammam and ISG Jubail compete with other schools in Saudi Arabia.

Week Without Walls (WOW Week)

Week Without Walls in an anticipated time each year at all our ISG schools that offers experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom. Students signup for local or international trips, where they can explore a new city or experience a new culture. A service project is planned with every trip.

In past years students have built a road to a rice field in Thailand, volunteered at a school for the blind in Sri Lanka,  refurbished a school in South Africa, learned about ocean pollution in Zanzibar and volunteered at a food bank in Portugal, to name a few.

We are very proud of our students and their commitment to compassionate action wherever they go.

Students who do not wish to travel during WOW Week participate in other activities outside the classroom such as cooking classes, gardening, health and wellness, sports and field trips around the city.
