Overview
At St Cuthbert’s we know girls – we’ve been educating and growing amazing young women for over a century now and our heritage and values are renowned. So are our academic results, but here excellence isn’t just a grade, it’s about encouraging every girl to achieve her personal best. By choosing St Cuthbert’s you are giving your daughter an advantage she will carry through life.
St Cuthbert’s College is an independent day and boarding school for girls from Year 0 to Year 13. From age 5 to 18, we recognise that personal success comes in different shapes and sizes.
St Cuthbert’s College accepts both day students and boarding students. Boarding students from Years 7 to 13 live in one of St. Cuthbert’s three boarding houses: Dunblane, Elgin or Melrose. The boarding community at St Cuthbert’s College is very diverse. Boarders come from Asia, the Pacific Islands and a range of other overseas locations, as well as from both urban and rural New Zealand. An increasing number of boarders are local students living between Karaka and the North Shore.
While our academic results are exceptional, a St Cuthbert’s education is much more than just top grades. From Year 12 onwards, your daughter will have the option of either continuing on the NCEA pathway or pursuing IB (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme). Our record speaks for itself, with our girls consistently achieving some of the best results across both NCEA and IB.
