Parent and Student Reviews of IB Schools in Zug

  • Our son joined the school 3 years ago and every year we have been impressed by the academic rigour in a friendly, family-oriented environment. Our son is really engaged with his studies, which is no doubt a result of being in a small class where he receives a lot of individual attention and personalized learning opportunities. We are particularly impressed by the high caliber of teachers: each of them bringing passion and innovative teaching techniques into the classroom, making every lesson captivating and interesting. Our son is eager to participate in many extracurricular activities such as computer or drama clubs and enjoys being part of a global community. He really cannot wait to go to school and that makes us really happy!

  • I joined ISCS five years ago and have since earned IGCSEs and As-Level qualifications. I particularly enjoy the family feel of the school: a combination of small classes, dedicated teachers and friends from all over world. I enjoy being a member of the Student-led NGO and working on a community project as part of the ISCS Leadership Programme. Last year, I took part in the student exchange programme at our sister school in Spain, where I had the opportunity to practice Spanish and make new friends, while following the same curriculum as ISCS. In the future I would like to study in the USA. However, I still can’t decide between engineering or medicine.

  • I really enjoy working at ISCS. It is a vibrant community of students, parents and teachers. I particularly enjoy listening to my students sharing their own cultural and international perspectives on issues we discuss in the class. In my role as an active Head of School, I am responsible for delivering outstanding level of teaching, combined with providing enriching and meaningful extra curricular activities. In addition, I ensure all the staff continue their professional development, which I find is key in delivering engaging and innovative lessons for our students. ISCS is an exciting place to work as we receive a lot of support and encouragement from peers, the leadership team and the parent community. It is definitely a school where one can bring a new idea or an innovative teaching technique and see it being implemented. I also enjoy the staff team events, whether it is taking a boat on the beautiful Swiss Lakes, or Latin dance class – everyone joins in and that’s why ISCS feels like one big family.

  • I learned that respect will take you far. I learned that communicating your thoughts with others and respecting theirs took you even further … I learned that rising above differences only made me see clearer. I learned how to bring up my own children using the same values. Today, I own an establishment in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia which focuses on preserving the history of the old town. I believe my love for history from a young age had a lot to do with my teachers.

  • The benefits of studying in an international environment with people from all over the world are tremendous. I went to Institut Montana for two years and graduated with the High School Diploma and the International Baccalaureate, which provided a great foundation for my career path. I always had the support of my teachers and advisers who taught me to take risks and aim high. The school also does a great job cultivating it’s network of alumni from all over the world. I’m incredibly thankful for my time at Institut Montana and the friends I’ve made on the magnificent Zugerberg.
